IDO grows rapidly world wide - Report by Michael Wendt
IDO opens her door wide for AUSTRALIA

Don McRobert and his colleagues after the IDO presentation in Melbourne in December 2009

During our trip to Australia and due to the appointment by the IDO-president to negotiate as “IDO-Ambassador” for IDO-Australia I had the pleasure meeting with IDO interested dance experts in Australia.
First my special thanks to Stuart Saunders, who, as former Secretary of the WDC and “Dance Expert” for the “Asia-Pacific Region,” opened the gate and prepared all these meetings for me.

Chris McCarthy and performing arts teachers at the TAP Dance Camp - where we met some tap dancers again having participated at the IDO World Tap dance Championship in Riesa, Germany in December 2009.

The many talks and the interest of dancers from all over Australia to compete at IDO world events and to form a new region in IDO in conjunction with the countries in South East Asia seem very promising. Because the most successful dance sport events in Australia already cover the IDO dances excellently.

The dancers from Australia are very much welcome in the wonderful world of IDO!
